Biography

Dirrell S. Jones is an accomplished trial attorney with over two decades of litigation experience representing clients in complex civil matters across state and federal courts. His practice focuses on high-exposure litigation, including catastrophic transportation accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, commercial disputes, professional liability claims, and serious personal injury matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Dirrell served as a trial attorney where he represented clients in complex litigation involving catastrophic highway accidents, medical malpractice claims, serious burn injuries, explosions, intentional torts, and premises liability cases. Before that, he spent nearly seven years defending trucking companies, commercial carriers, attorneys, real estate professionals, title companies, custom home builders, and healthcare providers in all phases of litigation.

Dirrell's diverse legal background also includes service with the State Bar of Texas – Office of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel, where he represented the Commission for Lawyer Discipline in evidentiary proceedings and district court matters, negotiated settlements, and evaluated disciplinary cases involving attorneys. Earlier in his career, he maintained a private practice in Illinois and served as General Counsel to several statutory governmental commissions, providing legal guidance on large-scale public infrastructure, municipal development, and transportation projects.

In addition to his litigation experience, Dirrell served as a law clerk for the Illinois Appellate Court, First District, assisting in the drafting of opinions, written orders, and legal analyses. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his strong advocacy skills, strategic legal counsel, and ability to navigate complex legal issues while achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

A respected speaker and presenter, Dirrell has frequently addressed attorneys and legal organizations on topics including attorney ethics, disciplinary proceedings, e-discovery, immigration-related grievance issues, and post-judgment procedures. He has also contributed to legal scholarship through publications focused on attorney discipline and ethics.

Dirrell earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, where he received academic honors and served as an Advanced Legal Writing Teaching Assistant. He also holds a Master of Science in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Baylor University. He currently serves as a Diabetes Advocate for the Texas Diabetes Council.
